How to Promote a New Coffee Shop?

Coffee shops are a part of lifestyle, a bliss which not only quenches thirst, but also brings along togetherness. People sit, sip coffee, gossip, crack business deals, and cherish good moments. But if you are new in the market and there are big daddy coffee shops you need to be little careful. Make sure you promote it quite effectively. Here are some tips for your help.

A different positioning

When the market is too cluttered and there are many coffee shops, you need to be very alert while opening up your own coffee shop. Make sure your coffee shop has altogether a new positioning, which no one else has done so far. Your positioning can be different from other coffee shops in terms of anything – coffee itself, décor and ambience, target group, offers or pricing, amenities like wi-fi connection and super luxurious couches etc. It can be anything. It’s just that you have to be different from others. Make sure people come to know about your different positioning. Promote your positioning effectively.

Promotion

How to promote the coffee shop? It entirely depends upon your target audience. Who is your target customer? Are they college goers or old retired group of customers who would love to sit in a coffee shop for hours with book in their hand? Once you figure out your target group, know where they are frequent to. Make sure you are visible in that place. Your visibility should be loud enough. Suppose you are targeting young college goers. They are generally seen around shopping malls or libraries, movie theatres or night clubs. Put your posters or kiosks, scrollers or banners around these places. You may distribute some hand bills and pamphlets, discount coupons, or even organize free sample testing kiosks around the street. You may have a tie up with the college or night club itself and put up a small outlet within the campus for first time trial.

An extra dash of lure

Make sure you give something more than just coffee. Make sure your customers go back with a pleasant smile on face and talk about you to their friends. Lure your customer with gifts like a discount coupon in next visit or chocolate brownie free with a cup of latte, or a photo of the loving couple sipping coffee. You may also organize frequent rock or jazz shows, pop music concerts within your coffee shop. It will increase footfall.

Tips for Online Banner Advertising

With growing popularity of digital media and online advertising, there are many new different formats of online advertising. Boom of online advertising has witnessed a sharp growth with popularity of banner advertising. But with growing use of banner advertising, it has indeed become too predictable, and boring. How to break the clutter and make your banner advertisement actually create an impact is still a mystery for many. Here are some tips for you.

Interactive

These days each popular web page is cluttered with too many banner advertisements. These advertisements are mostly static and thus fail to draw enough attention. Make sure your banner advertisement is interactive and interesting. Let the text wander or blink, move or radiate. Or you may play with the image in your advertisement. It may slowly creep into the banner box and then settle at a place like a car driving in within the box. Or you may create your banner advertisement with highly creative small engaging game, which people would love to play. At the end you may reveal a score and also put your product forth. You can take question and answering route too, by putting forth questions which need to be answered to reveal the mystery.

Different colors

Make sure your advertisement bears altogether different color scheme than the normal web home pages. It should stand out from the backdrop homepage and easily captivate attention.

Less text

If you think you will tell everything to your target audience within the small banner box, you are wrong. No one reads banner advertisements stuffed with text elements. Images or any visual element easily draw attention. Even if you are not using any image keep the text as less as possible. Leave blank space for eyes to relax and not suffocate the space. Use short yet strong and impactful words. You may use just a small headline and concluding text.

Call to action

Make sure your advertisement ends with a call to action text like – ‘Click here’, ‘Buy now’, ‘Get it today’, ‘Rush now’, and the like. Such call to action buttons will impel your audience to take desired action.

These few tips will help you to create a better impactful online banner advertisement.

How to Promote a Health Drink for Kids?

Health drinks are integral part of a child’s growth. Despite of awareness regarding health drink’s benefits often they go unnoticed by the desired target customers. When there are thousands of health drinks in the market, it’s quite challenging to stand out from the rest and rear up sales. But few marketing tricks can help a health drink brand to gain popularity and increase market share. Here are some tips.

Talk to the kids

These days kids are really smart and behave more like an adult. They have their personal choice and decision making authority right from the color of shoes to the selection of health drink flavor – they have their own favorites. So if you wish to be a favorite health drink of these smart kids, you have to actually lure them and give them what they like. Don’t treat kids as kids, instead talk to them with love, respect and make them feel good. If your target kids are big city dwellers, make sure you understand their lifestyle, thoughts, and aspirations. Do they idolize some superhero or eminent personality? You may trigger their dreams further by saying your health drink will help these kids to grow stronger, healthier, taller and smarter. You may also associate different flavors or core ingredients with different benefits. It may induce kids to crave for more than one flavor at a time. Make sure you reach your target group of kids personally through conducting a demonstration at school or sports club; besides reaching kids through advertising on their favorite television channels.

Talk to the mothers

No one else is worried about a child as much as the mother herself. She understands it the most. Even if you advertise a lot, if she is not convinced about how your brand will benefit her child she will never buy your brand. So reach mothers personally through means like ladies clubs, swimming clubs for kids, sports club for kids where the young mothers are more frequently seen. Mothers are emotional about their little ones. So besides hard core selling facts little punch of emotions always work.

Few eye opening facts

Shocks always make eyes pop up and ears erected. Put forth some shocking facts like what all diseases can happen among kids for lack of enough calcium or how many kids die every year for lack of enough vitamins. Such startling facts will make mothers sit on the edge of their chair and listen to you with much eagerness.

Importance of having a Website For a Small Business

So long you have remained mesmerized by stunning web portals. Have you ever thought that you could also have your own website and reap in huge benefits from it? You may think you just don’t need it as you are satisfied with your earning. But you never know. Little investment in your website building may fetch you huge profit and brighter days ahead. Here are some reasons stating why you should own a website.

Your face before the world

Your website is your identity before the entire universe. It’s your virtual self. Personally you may be accessible to only a few people. But your customers are all across the world. You have explored only a portion of this world, rest is still waiting for you to explore. Imagine your customer placing order for your fresh flower bouquets from some other part of this world, who has never known you, never interacted with you. Your website convinces him to click the ‘Order now’ button and reach you within a single click. Yes, that’s the power of Internet medium and its brainchild – website.

Convenient and time efficient

Website is a medium of convenience and time saving. Many customers may hesitate to reach your store physically or simply won’t have much time in hand to shop. In this busy world nothing can beat online presence. E-commerce solution is a brilliant innovation. It will not only give you regular customers who visit you physically and purchase things from you, but also customers who will buy from you online. It can also open doors of opportunities for you. Instead of investing in physical shops and huge inventory, you can maintain an online presence with your display portfolio for people to choose from.

Credibility and trustworthiness

Just a website can earn you huge credibility from people. Just a website url address earns loads of good faith, trust and respect. We soon feel the website is authentic and well known. It also eases the process of locating the company on Internet.

List of clients

Often new clients only approach knowing your present list of customers. Bragging about clients or remembering all names isn’t an easy task. A website eases this matter. Just mention names of your clients with their logo or testimonials and the world will not miss out your glory.

Email Security – How to Protect Yourself Online

Email marketing is obviously very popular, and you have no doubt been sent a large number of emails since opening your first email address online. Although there are many genuine email marketing campaigns that are sent out on a daily basis from online retailers such as Amazon, there are unfortunately a lot of bogus ones containing potential phishing attacks and harmful data.

Below we look at some email security tips to help protect you online.

1. Setup an anti-virus – Although this may sound like a very simplistic one that you are likely to see on any security checklist, an anti-virus is incredibly important, especially if you are using a desktop email client such as Microsoft Outlook or Thunderbird (online email providers such as Gmail and Hotmail tend to have built-in virus protection software).

2. Be careful when clicking – Once you’ve received an email it can be tempting to click straight through to a website if you see an interesting deal or image – but that’s exactly what you have to be careful of doing. Hover over or copy the link to your clipboard if possible, allowing you the opportunity to examine the destination URL before you proceed.

3. Avoid file downloads – If an email instructs you to download an external file or piece of software to view the full email content, then avoid this immediately. Potentially harmful software can often be distributed to large groups of email addresses in the hope that people install it, and this can have a hugely detrimental effect on your computer and overall online security.

4. Avoid entering details – Some potentially harmful emails will encourage you to enter your personal details (credit card/address) directly into a form embedded into an email – and this should be avoided at all costs. Forms that are embedded into emails are done so for a reason, and that is because the destination in which the information is sent is often hidden.

5.  Be wary of forgotten password emails – Unless you know you have specifically requested your password to be reset on a website, you should delete any emails you receive that claim to be resetting your ‘forgotten password’. These types of emails are often looking for you to enter personal details in unsecure locations.

6. If it’s true good to be true, it usually is – If you receive any emails containing promises of fantastic deals that you believe seem too good to be true, then be very wary. Use your favourite search engine to run a quick search to see if anybody else has mentioned the promotion anywhere, and the chances are you will be given an answer one way or another.

7. Avoid clicking online banking links – If you have an online banking account, then it’s very unlikely that you will receive many emails from them, especially ones containing links. Messages claiming to be emailing you from your bank could well be looking to gain access to your accounts, and you should avoid clicking any links within these emails. Visit your online banking account directly.

8. Use an up-to-date web browser – If you are still browsing the web and reading your emails through an extremely dated internet browser such as Internet Explorer 6, then there are a whole manner of potential security risks you face while reading your emails. Use one of the latest browsers such as Firefox or Google Chrome, and avoid installing any suspicious looking toolbars/addons.

9. Ignore unsolicited emails – If you receive an email out of the blue from somebody you have absolutely no connection with, be immediately wary. There is the chance your email address could have been picked up online by a potentially harmful sender, meaning you may receive unsolicited emails relating to various topics. Do not reply, and do not open any containing attachments.

10. Avoid providing any private details – A final but yet hugely important tip is to avoid providing any personal details via email at all costs. Don’t send credit card or PayPal login details to anybody via email no matter what the circumstance, and if you have to provide somebody with a password or piece of secure information, provide this in person or over the phone where possible.

With the above tips in mind, you should be relatively free of potential phishing attacks via email marketing campaigns online. One thing to remember is always be wary – always. There are unfortunately a lot of people who make their money online by scamming others, so it’s important to stay on your toes and report and suspicious activity.

Websites Made Easy With the Right Website Builders

Websites Made Easy With the Right Website Builders
By Marv Dreyer

If the thought of designing an attractive, easy-to-navigate website makes you hyperventilate, you’re not alone. Many successful website owners have never written a single line of HTML or CSS. Instead, they’ve taken advantage of a hosting company that offers an easy website builder, complete with predefined templates that let you get your website online and running in record time.

Unless your business is website design, you shouldn’t have to learn a whole new skill set just to get your business online. The truth is that web design is complicated. It includes graphic design, color sense and an understanding of code that many people spend years learning. A good website builder allows you to create a professionally designed website without making web design your profession – and without paying top price for professional design services.

Many web hosting companies offer a variety of website packages that include templates for various types and sizes of business. A versatile website builder will offer several levels of website design and allow you to choose which basic pages you want your website to include and price your plan accordingly. The simplest website designs consist of one to four pages, including a front page to describe your business, an “about us” page that provides background information about your business and a contact form page that makes it easy for your customers to contact you. More complex designs may include photo albums, pages that describe your services, a blogging platform and integration with social media, such as Flickr, Facebook and Twitter.

Look for a website builder that allows you to make changes to your own website from an intuitive interface. It should be easy for you to change colors, move page elements around, add photos and logos and manage your content without turning to a pro for help. The best builders offer a large variety of templates that you can customize with your own logos, photos and content that allows you to create a professional looking website that doesn’t look like every other website in your business niche.

If you’re building a larger website, the building tool should provide template pages for each type of page you want to include. You should be able to integrate web applications such as slide shows, blogs and maps into your website seamlessly – the same backgrounds, the same menu bars, the same styles – to help you build and preserve your branding across your entire website.

Choosing a web hosting company that offers a versatile, intuitive website builder simplifies the process of getting your website up and running. It allows you to create a small professional website in minutes and a larger one in just a few hours. Once your website is up, you can easily update your website whenever you want, often changing the look or arrangement of your entire website with just a few mouse clicks, and usually includes a backup option that allows you to download your entire site with all of its structure preserved. In short, from start to finish, a good website building tool can make your life as a webmaster much easier.
