How to Turn Prospects into Buyers?

The gap between the ‘prospect’ and the ‘buyer’ is not as thin as it sounds. It takes immense effort to convert the former into the latter stage. Unfortunately, very few come prepared to buy a product, and majority appear as potential buyer, who are nothing better than a hard to crack nut. They approach with skepticism, rigidity, negative mindset, millions of questions, comparative analysis. But still, they do change and turn into buyer. With a good understanding of human psychology, buying attitude and marketing knowledge coupled with natural instinct one can convert a prospect into a buyer.

There are 3 types of prospects, who can be converted into buyers.

Cold prospects

All prospects are cold initially. Even if they warm up slowly to a receptive mode and listen to your offering, you have to make enough of efforts to overcome their initial hesitation and arouse their interest. It’s hard to convince why your product or service is the best, but not impossible either once the initial hesitation is handled properly. Every prospect is different, and so is their level of defensiveness. There’s no one formula for all. Keep trying. Keep making contact. Make sure you don’t appear to be too pushy or disturbing. If you annoy the prospect, you have chances of losing him or her forever. Initially make sure you are seen enough, heard enough. So make maximum of contact, through media like email marketing, newsletter, blogging. To curtail boredom mix up couple of media together. Initially try to generate maximum brand exposure and brand recall value.

Warm prospects

Once you overcome prospect’s initial hesitation you have warmed up the person. Don’t forget, it’s just the beginning. You still have to convince him and make the sell. Warm prospect is a person who is ready to make purchase, but not necessarily will buy your brand, can easily get attracted towards your competitors. So you have to be very careful. Talk convincingly, show result-oriented proofs and testimonial evidences proving superiority of your product over others. Assure them that they are making right purchase decision.

Hot prospects

Hot prospects are the people who are already your buyer and perhaps have enjoyed your product or service too. Generally marketers are focused on grabbing new buyers rather than caring for the present ones. It’s more difficult to get new buyers than keeping the present buyers happy. Care for them, stay in touch, give them special schemes or gifts and make them stay loyal to you.

And the market is all yours.

How to Invite More of Blog Comments?

One latest Internet craze is blogging. Whether an individual or a company, whether commercial or personal – we are quite glued to blogging. And we all eagerly wait for comments against our blog posts. It’s like testimonials from friends and followers, which silently prove popularity of our blog and definitely motivate us to keep on blogging. From commercial point of view comments are even more waited for, since they attract Google Ad sense and the like. But how to ensure that your posts invite comments for sure? Here are some tips.

Leave a question, preferably open ended

Towards the end of your blog posts try to accelerate debate and leave with question behind. Show your desperation for the answers. The question should be preferably an open ended one, which invites long answers and motivates one to write. Even if you seek ‘yes’ or ‘no’ kind of answer, ask for the reason behind the comment. To invite more of such long answers write debatable or controversial topics, so that readers either stand by it or against it, while defending their choices with supportive justifications. It can welcome long list of comments, which can even rage a verbal war and more of interactions. But maintain dignity.

Seek suggestions and opinions

If not always an answer, you can also ask for good advices or suggestions or simply others opinion on the given topic. Write such topic, which invites opinions or suggestions. At the end ask everyone to put their advices or thoughts on the same.

Reply back each comment

Reply them back. Interact more with them to invite multiple comments from the same person. It will keep them interested. It may seem like a tedious task, but it’s worth doing. They will feel precious and valued and will look out for your new blog post every time.

Don’t keep the blog comments restricted

We often restrict blog commenting option and don’t allow all to put their comments randomly. We often read the comments and then only approve it to be published. But such process turns off the reader who wishes to comment. If he sees his comment will be published only after your approval, it hurts his ego and he doesn’t come back again to comment in future. Keep it open for all. You always have the option to delete objectionable or offensive comments.

With these few simple tips find the comments pouring in as never before. Enjoy the popularity.

Through emails marketer can reach a large segment of people – its customers, prospects, shareholders, opinion leaders, investors, employees, distribution channel. Email marketing is the latest craze on web, as it’s the most effective one to one communication platform, which is not only engaging but also flexible in terms of viewing. An uninterested viewer has the power to delete it.

Few tips for effective email marketing is as discussed below.

Create a captivating subject line

We often ignore and delete mails randomly especially when they come from the unknown senders. But a captivating subject line could actually save you from such loss. A good subject line instantly draws attention and motivates the viewer to open and read it. Keep the subject lines short, yet extremely interesting and hard-hitting.

Don’t use too many images in your email

Marketer is often tempted to use too many images in the body. Too many images not only put off the recipient but also show insincerity and casual approach of the marketer. Too many images are also often blocked by several email service providers and such mails are transferred straight to the junk or spam folder.

Keep it short and crisp

Always keep your email short and crisp. Do not beat around the bushes, it irritates the recipient who may even quickly close or delete it. Keep a check on the number of words and length of the mail. Come straight to the point and things you wish to communicate.

Use unambiguous words

Use clear, easy to comprehend language. Do not get tempted to use confusing and difficult words. Don’t forget that recipients won’t like to refer to a dictionary while reading your email. So keep it simple, easy yet effective. Your communication should be crystal clear, devoid of any ambiguity.

Add magic to your communication

Your communication is your weapon. The more you sharpen it, the better is the result. Make our email really enticing and engaging. Use captivating words, style and offers. Have You Tried These Advanced Linkbaits for Your Blog?

In the previous article I talked about content types that suits perfectly for linkbaits, and towards the end, I told you that in the next article I will share some advanced linkbait techniques. And this is that article. By using these techniques, you will not only get more links, but you will be able to network with real people behind the websites or blogs linking to you.

Advanced linkbaits

Rank websites

Create a list of websites and rank them on the basis of their merit. You can, for example, create a list of top 25 dating websites. Once you are done with the ranking, sending each website with a badge announcing their rank. A website will definitely link back to your blog.

Rank people

This is a linkbait that very few blogger or webmaster will refuse being lured to. What you have to do is to create a list of 25 most influential people in a niche. Write a small bio about them — you can find this information on the about us page of their websites or blogs — and post it on your blog. Add a link to their websites as well.

The next step is to send them a mail informing them about their inclusion in top25 most influential list on your website. Send each one of them a rank badge. They cannot help, but give you a backlink.

As you can see, both the strategy has two parts: one, creating a list, and contacting the relevant parties with a badge explaining the honor they received. Err on any and you will miss the opportunity to get ranked.

Do not abuse this strategy. It will stop working, and do not add any non-deserving candidate in your list, just because you know him. It will take the credibility away from your ranking.

What Content to Use as a Linkbait?

In an article published on September 13, I talked about how a linkbait can help you get traffic as well as backlinks to your blog. Taking the discussion forward, in this article I will tell you about thre types of content that are specifically cut to function as linkbait. They are:

  1. Quizzes
  2. Funny pictures
  3. Inforgraphics

We will discuss each one of them below.

Quizzes

If you want a fellow blogger or webmaster to link back to you then create quizzes that are sufficiently complex. Do not make it too complex, people will not participate in it, and do not make it too easy, people will get bored of it. Your quiz should be shareworthy.

Funny pictures

In a day, how many times do you receive a funny picture in a mail? Even if not daily, you must have received such mails in the past, so you know what I am talking about.

It is the laughter quotient of a funny picture that makes it tick with all. If you want bloggers to publish your content and link back to you then this is the content you will like to create.

Infographic

Infographic is a neologism that came into existence by combining information and graphics. A good insightful infographic will not only get you backlinks, but it will also increase your chances to reach to the first page of Google. Infographic also fetch a lot of traffic to a website.

Infographic creation is a three-step process. In the first step, you create a layout of an infographic and then you chose a color scheme, followed by final creation.

Try these content types to until I come up with the next post on the topic where I will share some more types of content that could be used as linkbaits.
